More simple drawings this week, Parfait the cat reading poetry and eating fish.
I often tend to fill every last corner of a drawing with stuff, so I’ve been working on leaving more negative space which hopefully creates more of a balance. Letting things be simple and a bit imperfect.
And here are a couple more Parfaits I posted in Notes last week.
Until next time!
I haven’t seen your work before, so I can’t imagine what you mean by leaving more negative space— it looks like you fill the square beautifully with all that detail, as far as I can tell, and Parfait’s delicate sensibilities are conveyed just perfectly. You choose your lines and attitude with a practiced and knowing eye. I don’t know how I happened to see this, but I am following you, absolutely. Thanks very much!
OMG it was love at first sight with your drawings. 💖
As a cat who writes here at Substack (in Spanish), I must say that your work is felinely 🐈 1000% approved.
