Back to it
Keeping the pencil moving
Well, my residency came and went, I arrived with a large bag of drawing materials and ended up doing…not a single drawing. That’s how it goes!
I did spend the whole time writing furiously though, so not a waste by any means. I also took many solitary long cold walks along the country road. A bald eagle swooped down right above my head one morning; I followed it along from one treetop perch to the next, until it finally had enough of me and disappeared behind a mountain ridge.
Anyway, I have been sorely out of practice with my drawings, hoping over the next few weeks to get back into a rhythm. Need to push through this sense of resistance, it’s like a clogged pipe and the only way to get it flowing again is: sit down and keep the pencil moving around, day in day out. Easy!
Still on this Walter-the-rabbit kick, but might move on in the coming weeks, we will see.
Until next time!

Sigh.
Sometimes the words take over.
I've had my own realization that I need to allow Poetry back in, came as a surprise, or, perhaps better to say, as a gift.
Anyway, thanks for sharing your self, your journey, your drawings AND your writing with us
